Giving Tuesday 2016

15179037_904432332990652_2239462566414063335_nSo we just got back from India and heard all the stories from our women who went through our first round of Women's Entrepreneurship Training (WEP) and launched their businesses. They have all launched successful businesses at least doubling their household income (some more). Almost all of them are saving more than is required, and all of them are feeding their daughters, getting her medical care, and have put them into English Medium School (which is a paid school). We are beyond proud of them! Once their loans are paid back we will reinvest that money back into these women to help them expand their businesses.

In January we are launching a second round of training at our Medak Center in Telengana, and a first round in our newest center in Andhra Pradesh. After the training the women will receive a loan of $150 to get their business started. We don't include these loans in our yearly operating budgets because we want to ask you to sponsor them one for one so we can match you up with a lending group to receive updates on the mama you've sponsored.

So this Giving Tuesday and Christmas Giving Season, we would LOVE to have you join up with our mamas to help rescue and provide for their girls. You can give a one time donation or if you need to spread it out and give $25 or $50 per month to sponsor 1 or 2 mamas over 6 months we would love that. For every one who signs up to sponsor a loan we will send you one of these stockings that were hand stitched in India out of beautiful Kantha material. These are bright and colorful - just like India. It might not match your Christmas decorations, but we hope you would hang it up with your family stockings and remember the Indian girl you are rescuing and share the story with anyone in your home over the holidays. Let us know if you have any questions at info@rescuepink.org. Thank you for helping us rescue these girls! #givingtuesday
